San Jose, Calif. -- San José State first baseman Jessie Hufstetler was named a member of one of the 2015 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Pacific Region teams on Thursday afternoon.
Hufstetler, a junior out of Atascadero, Calif., was named to the region's second-team and is one of 371 players from 153 different schools to have been chosen to the 2015 NFCA Division I All-Region teams.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from 10 regions with first, second and third teams selection for each region. The all-region teams were voted on by NFCA member coaches from each respective region, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to one of three 2015 NFCA Division I All-American teams.
This season, Hufstetler set an SJSU single-season RBI record (69) while achieving personal bests in hits (73), runs (44), doubles (17), home runs (11), slugging percentage (.744), on base percentage (.540).
