Harbaugh 28th, Webb 37th At NCAA West Preliminary Meet

Austin, Texas----- San José State University freshmen Cambree Harbaugh and Makayla Webb completed their 2015 outdoor track and field season at the NCAA Division I Women's Track & Field Championships West Preliminary Meet hosted by the University of Texas.

Harbaugh, from Meridian, Idaho, placed 28th in the long jump with a 5.93 meters jump, .04 meters shy of her season best of 5.97, on her third and final attempt. A mark of 6.21 meters was needed to finish in the top-12 and advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 10-13.

Webb, from Sacramento, Calif., finished sixth in her heat and was clocked in 1:01.83 in the 400 hurdles. A time of 1:00.31 was good enough for the 24th and final spot in the upcoming NCAA Championships.

High jumper Emma Sutherland will compete on May 29 and triple jumper Nicole Iloanya on May 30 to round out San José State's first entries in a NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
