Colorado Spring, Colo. --- San José State men's golfer Cody Blick was announced as a 2014-15 All-Conference Team honoree by the Mountain West (MW) Thursday afternoon.
It is the second year in a row that the MW has named Blick to the all-conference team, and he is now three-for-three as a Spartan after earning first-team All-Western Athletic Conference and Freshman of the Year honors in 2012-13.
Blick ended the season with a 70.34 stroke average in 32 rounds, 21 of which were played at par or better. The Danville, Calif., native added two victories and a school-record 10-under-par 62 to his collegiate resume this season.
The graduate of San Ramon Valley High School heads into the NCAA Regional Championship on May 14-16 with momentum from a five-under-par 66 in the final round of the Mountain West Championship.
He currently ranks 57th in the country according to Golfstat's May 6 NCAA Rankings, and 85th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
New Mexico's Gavin Green is the MW's Player of the Year and John Oda of UNLV took Freshman of the Year honors. San Diego State's Ryan Donovan was tabbed as the Conference's Coach of the Year.
