Sylvain Malroux's Au Revoir To San Jose State

July 29, 2015

It is with a heavy heart that my family and I leave the San Jose State Spartans. It is a time in our lives in which it is important for my wife and two young boys to put family first.

I would like to thank Gene (Bleymaier), Marie (Tuite), John (Poch) and everyone I had the chance to work with during these wonderful four years.

What a journey it was winning San Jose State's first championship and making the first NCAA appearance!

I am so proud to see our student-athletes recognized with the highest team GPA ever at 3.74, being an ITA All-Academic team for four years in a row, and this past season having a best in our conference with seven All-Academic award winners.

I would also like to thank my staff for all their hard work. I am certain that the first Mountain West Championship will come soon.

To my good friend, Chad (Skorupka), and players, I will be cheering for you and I know you are in a good place to be very successful. I will miss you so much, but I will be with you in spirit. I encourage you to become the best students, athletes and people possible and enjoy your time at SJSU.

John (Poch) -- thank you for inviting me into the Spartan family and trusting me during this wonderful journey. You truly were so supportive and a great friend.

Lawrence (Fan), simply a big MERCI, you are a legend.

Spartan Family, I wish you all the best and I will miss you!

Sylvain
