EUGENE, Ore. --- San José State University men's golfer Cody Blick finished in the top 20 for the second year in a row at the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship.
Blick finished tied for 16th with a five-over 285 on the par 70, 6,975-yard Eugene Country Club course. He steadily improved in the first three rounds from an opening round 74 (+4) followed by a 72 (+2) and 68 (-2) before closing with a 71 (+1).
Aaron Wise, the University of Oregon sophomore-to-be, won the tournament finishing at six-under 274.
Blick finished tied for seventh at last year's Pacific Coast Amateur Championship. He will play in the U.S. Amateur Championship, August 17-23 at the Olympia Fields (Ill.) Country Club before beginning his senior year at San José State.
