Women's Soccer Picked Seventh In MW Preseason Coaches' Poll

Colorado Springs, Colo. --- Results of the 2015 Mountain West Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll were announced Monday, and predicts San José State to finish in seventh place out of 12 teams.

The voting panel of the 12 MW women's soccer head coaches selected three-time defending regular-season and tournament champion San Diego State as the favorite to win this year's title. The Aztecs top the chart with 119 points and nine first-place votes, and Colorado College is second with 109 points and two first-place votes.

The poll shows the Spartans and UNLV locked in seventh with 53 points each, putting them ahead of Air Force, Fresno State, Colorado State and Nevada.

All 12 Mountain West Schools will begin the regular season this Friday, August 21. San José State begins its season in Beaumont, Texas for a match at Lamar University set to begin at 7:00 p.m. CT.
