The San José State baseball program will hold open walk-on tryouts during the month of September, head coach Dave Nakama announced today.
A mandatory meeting will be held on Monday, August 31 at 5:00 p.m. in the East Field House classroom (12th & Humboldt streets) for those who are interested. All necessary paperwork and format for the tryouts beginning in mid-September will be addressed at the meeting.

Walk-on requirements:In order to participate in walk-on tryouts you must be a currently enrolled student at San José State University (at least 12 credit hours undergraduate and 9 credit hours graduate), meet the NCAA's certification requirements and have a complete physical PRIOR to trying out (note: proof of sickle cell status must be provided prior to being cleared medically). Physicals and sickle cell screening can be completed at the SJSU Student Health Center or at your own doctor's office. All appointments are to be made and paid for on your own. All paperwork must be turned into the baseball front office by September 17th (no exceptions).
