Through her first 12 holes played in the final round (#4-15), Schultz was five-under par before bogeys on #16 and #18 and three consecutive pars found her finishing at 69. She made six birdies during her round and finished the tournament with 11 to tie for the tournament lead.

My Leander shot a 74 and finished tied for 23rd at 227. She had a solid round with two birdies and 12 pars made and was one-under par through her first eight holes played (#5-12).

Alexandra Cooper and Fanny Johansson tied for 55th at 232. Cooper shot an 82, while Johansson shot a 78 in the third round.

"We are excited about the start to our season," said Spartan head coach John Dormann. "We still have things we need to improve and already have plans on how to get better and more confident.

"There are lots of positives from this tournament. We managed to comeback from our opening round to post two nice scores. Liz had a great tournament, and six birdies in a round is a great performance. Regan was solid throughout, and My had two good rounds. Every player contributed at least two rounds to our team score, and these performances are a good start to our year."

The Spartans play next at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, September 26 and 27 in Palm Desert.
