The Spartans shot a 296 and moved into a tie for 13th place with Washington State in the team standings.

The Spartans were eight shots better in the second round and moved into a tie for 13th place in the team standings. Stanford continues to lead its tournament after shooting a three-under 281 in the second round and has a three-shot lead over UCLA, 568-571.

"We played better today," said Spartan coach John Dormann. "In my 18-plus years of coming here, there are some unique hole locations that I have never seen. These locations require you to precise with your shots. We have to be accurate off the tee to put ourselves in birdie opportunities. We have to make birdies on the par-5 holes."

Final round tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans start at 8:15 a.m. off of hole 10 with Washington State and Vanderbilt.
