You can add another honor to San José State running back Tyler Ervin's name as Athlon Sports selected him as a second-team All-American on Wednesday. The senior from Colton, Calif., was the definition of versatility in 2015, rushing 264 times for 1,469 yards while making 44 receptions, returning 25 kicks and four punts.Athlon Sports gave Ervin the second-team All-America nod as an all-purpose player alongside first-team choice and Heisman runner-up Christian McCaffrey of Stanford and third-team choice Jaylen Samuels of North Carolina State.A couple of the many 2015 highlights for the First-Team All-Mountain West running back include a school-record 300 rushing yards and three TD's in a victory over Fresno State (9/26), and 263 yards and a TD in the win over New Mexico (10/24).Ervin is the only FBS player to rush for more that 250 yards in multiple contests during the season.Ervin leads the Spartans into battle against Georgia State in the AutoNation Cure Bowl on Saturday, December 19.
