Orlando, Fla. - Sports celebrities and local dignitaries greeted the San Jose State University football traveling party at the Hard Rock Cafe in University Studios' Theme Park upon its arrival for the AutoNation Cure Bowl.
Escorted from the airport by an eight-squadron police motorcycle escort through central Florida's major expressways during the afternoon rush-hour traffic, the Spartans shared a reception dinner sponsored by AmeriLife with the Georgia State Panthers. San Jose State players posed in groups with their position coaches in front of the Bowl interview backdrop and others were interviewed on the pink carpet promoting San Jose State's arrival.
The Spartans will have a full practice, Thursday morning in preparation for the December 19 bowl game. Kickoff is at 4:07 p.m. (PT)/7:07 p.m. (ET) with national television coverage by the CBS Sports Network. KLIV (1590 AM, San Jose) will originate local radio coverage for the Spartan Radio Network stretching throughout Northern California and KSJS FM (90.7 FM, San Jose) also is providing play-by-broadcast coverage.
