Orlando, Fla.----- The San Jose State University football team completed its final full practice at nearby First Academy School in preparation for the inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl to start its second day of bowl game activities.
Coach Ron Caragher put the team through nearly two hours of practice under slightly overcast and humid conditions.
Following practice, Coach Caragher, running back Tyler Ervin and safety Simon Connette represented the Spartans at the bowl's press conference.
"We've had some good practices and built a good foundation for our team coming into this game. We have a lot of respect for Georgia State," said Caragher.
"It (the bowl) is one more chance for our seniors to play and one more chance for us to compete as a team.
"I appreciate the hospitality provided by the staff of the Cure Bowl. It's been great. We haven't been here 24 hours, and it's been great. We're looking forward to playing a great game Saturday night."
The team had the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the local sites -- particularly at the University Studios theme park.
The inaugural Cure Bowl is Saturday, December 19, at the Citrus Bowl, 7:00 p.m. (ET)/4:00 p.m. (PT). The CBS Sports Network is providing national television coverage. KLIV (1590 AM, San Jose) and KSJS (90.5 FM, San Jose) will broadcast the game live.
