The 2016 women's gymnastics season kicks off this weekend in the Bay Area as the San José State University team hosts the other four local teams in the NorCal Classic this Sunday, January 10, at 2 p.m., inside The Event Center.
Joining the Spartans on Sunday are California, UC Davis, Sacramento State and Stanford. Doors open at 12:45 p.m., so fans may enter to watch the teams warm up.

Fans who cannot make it to The Event Center on Sunday can watch a live stream of the meet produced by FloGymnastics for a nominal fee. The link is https://livecoverage.flogymnastics.com/event/886-norcal-classic. Viewers will need to sign up for a membership with FloGymnastics to watch the meet.
With the anticipation of a large crowd at Sunday's meet, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. All seating is general admission.
Tickets can be purchased during regular business hours in person at either the Spartan Ticket Office at 1393 S. 7th Street or at the Event Center Box Office at 290 S. 7th Street. Tickets can also be purchased by phone to the Spartan Ticket Office until 5 p.m. on Friday, January 8, at (408) 924-SJTX (7589) or (877) SJSUTIX (757-8849).
Tickets are also available through the following Ticketmaster channels: TM charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000; online at ticketmaster.com; or by visiting a select Ticketmaster outlet, including Walmart.
Walk-up sales at the Event Center will begin at NOON on the day of the meet.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for youth 12 and under, $5 for groups of 20 or more and ordered by January 8 through the Spartan Athletics Ticket Office, and $3 for youth in gymnastics club gear (walk-up only at The Event Center on Sunday).
Parking is available in the South Garage, located at the corner of 7th and San Salvador Streets on the San José State campus. After exiting the garage, fans should continue north on Seventh Street to The Event Center. Seventh Street ends at The Event Center.
All five teams will sign autographs after the meet on the main upstairs concourse at The Event Center.
