Reiswig Dives Into Finals On Day 2 of Bruin Invitational

Meet Results --- Day 2

Los Angeles, Calif. --- Sophomore Cari Reiswig advanced to the final round for the second day as the San Jose State Spartans diving team competes in the 3-meter springboard on day two of the Bruins Diving Invitational.

Reiswig finished 11th overall in the 3-meter dive with a total score of 553.00 after 12 dives with a degree of difficulty of 16.40. In the preliminary round of diving Reiswig posted a score 270.75 on her first six dives to be ranked 12th going into the finals.

Topping her season high score in the 3-meter dive, sophomore Kylie Fonseca scored 242.65 in the first round of diving to place 22nd in the second day of competition at UCLA. Fonseca missed making the final round of 18 by four spots.

Freshman Megan Au finished 37th in the 3-meter springboard after posting a score of 209.25 and sophomore Eri Tamada placed 40th with a mark of 176.55 after six dives. The Bruin Diving Invitational is the first major invitational Au and Tamada have competed.

In the final day of competition on Sunday, Reiswig and Fonseca with represent the Spartans in the platform dive.
