The San José State University women's indoor track and field team is geared up for a busy Saturday this weekend at the Bronco Invitational in Boise, Idaho. For the first time during the indoor season, the Spartans have nearly a full bill of events which includes: the 60, 200 and 400 meter dashes, 60-meter hurdles, mile run, and 4x400-meter relay. The jump crew will also be active in the high, long and triple jump events."This should be a good meet with a lot of good competition," said Spartans' head coach Jeff Petersmeyer. "It's always nice to take a full team rather than two or three here and there. It's also nice to have the distance group with us. It will be good to see some of our freshmen compete for the first time during indoor (season)."Two of those freshmen distance runners are Ashley Cahalan and Adilene Aldapa, who will both run the mile and participate in the 4x400 relay.Jelia Brice-Montgomery is another freshman set to compete in the 200 alongside veterans Caitlin Wilson and Makayla Webb. The Bronco Invitational, hosted by Boise State, begins Saturday morning at 10 a.m. (MT) with six heats of the 60-meter dash.
