The San José State women's golf team opens the 2016 spring season at the Peg Barnard Invitational this Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14, at the Stanford Golf Course. Admission is free.
The Spartans are one of 13 teams and five individuals to compete at the tournament. The field includes defending national champions Stanford, Washington, California, Colorado, Denver, Fresno State, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, UC Davis, San Francisco and the Spartans.
The two rounds begin with 8 a.m. tee times each day off #1 and #10 at 11-minute intervals. The Spartans start at 9:50 a.m. off of #1, and play the first round with New Mexico and Denver. Second-round pairings will be determined after the first round is complete.

Cristina Glebova will be playing as an individual.
At last year's Peg Barnard, the Spartans finished third, and De Guzman tied for fourth at one-under 141, and shot a two-under 69 in the second round.
