San Jose, Calif. --- The San José State men's basketball team had two critical shots rattle in and then out in the final minute of a 61-55 loss to Nevada in Mountain West play on Wednesday night.Tied 55-55 with exactly one minute remaining, Frank Rogers took an open look from his spot near the top of the arc which rimmed out into the hands of the Wolf Pack. After a pair of Nevada free throws made it 57-55, it was Welage's three-ball for the lead that rattled down and out.Nevada grabbed an offensive rebound, which led to more free throws and a slam dunk by D.J. Fenner sealed the victory for Nevada.San José State led the contest for 21 minutes, and grew the lead to as many as many as 11 points early in the second half. Frank Rogers notched his seventh double-double of the season with SJSU's first bucket of the second half. Rogers finished with 14 points and a career-high 17 rebounds.San Jose State (8-18, 3-11 MW) was able to recover from its 6:41 scoring drought which ensued following Rogers' early basket in the second half. Ryan Welage hit a three, and Princeton Onwas capitalized on Rogers' offensive board for a layup to give the Spartans a 41-37 advantage at the 11:02 mark.Twenty-one (21) turnovers by the Spartans, gave Nevada (16-9, 8-5) life throughout the second half. The Wolf Pack made 11 steals, and finished the game with 23 points off SJSU turnovers. Perhaps the most critical two of those 23 came when Cameron Oliver stole a long inbound pass from Isaac Thornton, which he took the distance for a layup to give Nevada the 55-53 advantage with 2:13 left.Fenner led all scorers with 16 points, and his teammate Marqueze Coleman finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Tyron Criswell joined them in double-figures scoring with 12.Welage, with 14 points, was the only other Spartan in double-figures scoring.

Next up, San José State hosts San Diego State on Sunday afternoon for a 1:00 p.m. tipoff on CBS Sports Network.
