The San José State women's gymnastics team goes on the road this week for the first of two consecutive away meets to finish February. The Spartans compete at Sacramento State this Friday, February 19, beginning at 7 p.m., inside The Nest.
This is the third of four scheduled meetings between the two teams. They started the year off at the NorCal Classic hosted by San José State on January 10. Sacramento State scored a 194.325, while the Spartans had a 191.800. Five days later, the two teams competed in a dual meet at The Event Center with the Hornets winning, 194.900-193.400. The two teams will compete at the MPSF Championships on March 19 at The Nest.

Just the third road meet of the season, the Spartans are a different team away from The Event Center. The team has scored a 194.000 or better in each of the two road meets, while averaging a 192.931 at home.
The Spartan bars team did highlight last week's home meet against Boise State. The team scored a 49.000, tying for the seventh-best bars score in school history. Maddie Herr led the bars team with a 9.900, becoming just the fourth Spartan in school history to record a 9.900 on bars and the fifth to score a 9.900 or better on bars.

For fans attending the meet, ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (65+ years old) and youth (ages 3-17).
