SAN JOSE, Calif. - For the first and only time all season, San José State's women's tennis team plays matches on three consecutive days when it hosts South Alabama, UC Davis and Pacific at Spartan Courts this weekend.

The Spartans (4-2) are back in the national ITA rankings this week, checking in at No. 60 - their highest ranking since April of last season. Individually, Marie Klocker maintained her spot in the singles rankings, this week at No. 122.

This weekend marks the first-ever meeting between San José State and South Alabama, which jumped from No. 70 to No. 39 in this week's ITA poll. For the Jaguars, freshman Alexandria Stiteler is the 52nd-ranked singles player in the country and brings a 7-1 record into Friday's showdown.

UC Davis (4-6) enters the weekend on a two-match skid after falling at home to Cal State Fullerton and Sacramento State. The Aggies dropped a 6-1 contest to nearby Santa Clara early in the season and were edged 4-3 by San José State foe San Diego State.

Pacific comes to town with a 4-4 record after bookending a loss to Cal State Fullerton with wins over San Francisco and Cal Poly. The Tigers are led by Viktoriya Dzyuba and Maayan Sela, who both own 7-1 records in singles action.
