San José State's women's tennis team hits the road for the first time since late February when it travels to face SMU and No. 30 TCU early this week.

Monday, the Spartans (7-5) take on an SMU (9-7) team that rattled off seven consecutive victories to start the year. The Mustangs have since lost seven of their last nine, including losses at No. 13 Wichita State and No. 23 Kansas. For a second consecutive match, Marie Klocker and Gaelle Rey will have to contend with one of the top doubles teams in the country, as SMU's Hristina Dishkova and Vaszilisza Bulgakova currently sit at No. 52 in the national rankings. Dishkova's 10-2 mark at the top singles spot in the Mustangs' lineup also represents a team best.

Just 24 hours later, San José State squares off with No. 30 TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. The Horned Frogs (7-2) are riding a five-match win streak and have only lost to a pair of top-20 teams in Stanford (No. 14) and Ohio State (No. 18). Caroline Wegner and Seda Arantekin represent the 27th-ranked tandem in the country despite posting just a 3-3 record thus far. Arentekin has been slotted at Nos. 2-5 and gone 7-1 overall.
