LOS ANGELES --- The San José State women's track and field team got a fast time from Caitlin Wilson in the 200-dash and a new school record from Allison Lang in the javelin throw, as the team squared off against top-notch competition at the Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday.Wilson, who owns the legal school record in the 200 (24.70), clocked a 24.01(w) in the 200-meter dash at the Mt. SAC Relays. She finished first in her heat and 27th overall.Lang threw the javelin 36.04 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational for a new school record. In the program's first year competing in the event, Nicole Iloanya had the previous record of 31.19 meters set in the outdoor season opener. Lang will have a chance to extend that new record tomorrow when she and the Spartans compete in the Long Beach Invitational.Makayla Webb ran a 1:00.50 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish fourth out of 34 entries at the Mt. SAC Relays. She also ran in the 100-hurdles, clocking a 14.24.Spartan sprinters and jumpers will be in action again tomorrow at the Long Beach Invitational.
