For the second straight year, San José State University has a program-best five athletes heading the NCAA Division I 2016 Outdoor Track & Field Championships West Preliminary.

Makayla Webb (100H, 400H), Cambree Harbaugh (Long Jump) and Nicole Iloanya (Triple Jump) are making a return to the NCAA's while Caitlin Wilson (200) and Jennifer Beckingham (800) will represent San José State for the first time at the west prelims taking place May 26-28 in Lawrence, Kansas.Harbaugh, a sophomore from Meridian, Idaho, jumped a school-record 6.00 meters in the MW Championship long jump, and enters the prelims seeded No. 41. Teammate and fellow horizontal jumper Nicole Iloanya heads into the prelims seeded 18th in the triple jump. The Arlington, Texas native jumped 12.86 meters at the Bulldog Invitational (4/23).Webb had a fantastic performance at the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational (3/18) where she opened the season with a 13.51 in the 100-hurdles, and a school-record 59.53 in the 400-hurdles. The Sacramento, Calif., native is seeded 35th and 45 respectively in the two events.Wilson, a sprinter from Tallahassee, Fla., enters as the 45th seed in the 200 after clocking a 23.84 in the MW Championship finals. All season long she was knocking on the door of a sub 24-second time, before she broke it down in the final two meets of the year and landed a spot in the regionals.Beckingham, a graduate student from Southampton, England, ran a 2:08.23 in the 800 at the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational (3/18) which lands her the 45th-seeded time.The top-12 in every event will continue on to the NCAA Division I 2016 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 8-11.
