Lawrence, Kan. --- Three more San José State women's track and field athletes' 2016 outdoor season ended on Saturday competing among the region's best at the NCAA Division I Championship West Preliminaries, hosted by the University of Kansas."We got five very deserving young ladies to the NCAA Preliminaries and while we didn't end up moving anyone onto the final round, I'm very proud of how they represented San José State," said Spartans head coach Jeff Petersmeyer.Caitlin Wilson clocked a 24.42 in the 200-meter dash to finish 45th, Nicole Iloanya's triple jump measured 11.76 meters for a 43rd place result and Makayla Webb finished 40th in the 100-hurdles with a time of 13.90. The top-12 in every event over the weekend moved onto the NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.The three were part of a larger group of five Spartans which competed at this year's NCAA West Prelims. Cambree Harbaugh in the long jump and Jennifer Beckingham in the 800-meter run, concluded their seasons yesterday."I think next year with most of our athletes being juniors, we'll come back to this meet again and do quite well," Petersmeyer added. It was the second time in as many years at the west prelims for Webb, Iloanya and Harbaugh, who were all part of the program's first-ever group of women's track & field athletes last year to qualify.EVENT RESULTS200 Meters
