Bakersfield, Calif.----- As the conference's tournament's leading scorer, San Jose State University senior Rae Lekness was one of eight players named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) women's water polo all-tournament team.
Lekness scored six goals in the Spartans' three tournament games. The MPSF's scoring leader for the season found the back of the cage twice against Stanford in a quarterfinal round match, once in the CSU Bakersfield win and three times versus Arizona State in the fifth-place contest.
The Calgary, Alberta native finished the season with a San Jose State single-season scoring record of 98 goals. No other player in the MPSF had as many as 60 in games played through May 1. Lekness also established a new MPSF career scoring mark of 294 scores over her four-year career.
