2016 CSCAA Scholar All-America teams (Women's NCAA Division I)
Norfolk, Va.----- The streak continues for the San Jose State University women's swimming and diving team. For the seventh consecutive year, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) honored the Spartans with a team Scholar All-America award.
San Jose State's team grade-point average of 3.24 easily exceeded the CSCAA's 3.00 threshold for the annual award.
"In my 11 years with San Jose State University, we have created a culture which places the academic success along with the welfare and competitive success of our student-athletes as our most important principles. I am very proud of the hard work and sacrifice of our swimmers and divers to achieve our seventh consecutive Scholar All-America Team honor," says Sage Hopkins, San Jose State University's head coach for women's swimming and diving.
172 NCAA Division I women's swimming and diving programs received the CSCAA's national academic recognition for the 2015-16 school year.
