SPARTANS RETURN TO SPARTAN GYM FOR MW ACTION: The San José State volleyball team returns to Spartan Gym for the first time since August 27 for the first two home Mountain West matches of the year. The Spartans host New Mexico on Thursday, September 29, and MW leader UNLV on Saturday, October 1.

ABOUT NEW MEXICO: The Lobos enter Thursday night's match with 10-5 overall record and 1-1 MW record. The team defeated Air Force, 3-0, last Thursday before falling to Boise State, 3-2, on Saturday. Cassie House is eighth in the MW in kills with 187, 3.46 ps, while Victoria Spragg is sixth in blocks at 1.24 ps.

HEAD COACH Jolene Shepardson: San José State head coach Jolene Shepardson is in her third season at the helm of the program. She has a 24-50 record in three seasons at SJSU, and a 67-97 coaching record in six seasons.
ROBINSON NEARING 1,000 CAREER ASSISTS: Setter Breann Robinson needs just two assists this week to record 1,000 assists during her San José State career. She begins the week with 487 assists on the season, her best season total of her three-year career.
HOME SWEET OCTOBER: The Spartans play nine MW matches in the month of October, five in Spartan Gym beginning this Saturday with MW leader UNLV. San José State plays four consecutive home matches in the middle of the month - Boise State (13th), Air Force (15th), Colorado State (20th) and Wyoming (22nd).
