Fullerton, Calif. --- The San Jose State women's soccer team fell behind early and produced a season-low two shots on goal in a 1-0 loss at Cal State Fullerton on Sunday afternoon.

"I felt that our bench played very well today and was a solid team effort," said Spartans' head coach Lauren Hanson."But at the end of the day you need to put the ball in the back of the net, and we didn't finish our chances."

Tala Haddad scored the only goal of the match in the second minute of action, putting the Titans (2-3-0) up for good, 1-0.

San Jose State's Aliyah Jones had an excellent opportunity from short range in the 62nd minute. But Fullerton's Jennifer Stuart denied Jones for her second save.

The Spartans (2-2-1) outshot the Titans 10-6, but Sabrina Miller had the only other shot on goal.

San Jose State is back on the pitch in Southern California again next Friday at CSUN. The match under the lights is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. (PT).
