HOMESTAND CONTINUES THIS WEEK: The San José State volleyball team returns to Spartan Gym for the final two matches of this homestand. The Spartans host Mountain West leader Colorado State on Thursday and Wyoming on Saturday. After the 3-0 sweep of Air Force on October 15, San José State is currently tied for eighth in the MW standings with Fresno State at 2-6.

ABOUT COLORADO STATE: The Rams enter Thursday night's match with a 13-5 overall record and are atop the conference standings with a 7-0 MW mark. The defending MW champs defeated Nevada (3-0) and San Diego State (3-0) last week. Sanja Cizmic leads the team with 196 kills, 3.21 per set, while Kirstie Hillyer and Alexandra Poletto are the conference's top-two blockers at 1.47 and 1.42 per set, respectively.

Colorado State won the earlier meeting this season, 3-0, in Fort Collins on September 24. Spartan Giulia Gávio recorded a match-high 15 kills and was the only Spartan to record double-digit kills. She also had four digs and ace for the Spartans. Hana Tresnáková added nine kills and a dig.

ABOUT WYOMING: The Cowgirls begin the week with a 12-8 overall record and a 5-2 MW mark. The team is tied for fourth in the conference standings and plays at Fresno State Thursday night before making the trip to San Jose. Kayla Slofkiss leads the team with 184 kills, 2.71 per set, while Reed Copeland is the team leader in blocking with 89, 1.33 ps.

Wyoming won the earlier meeting this season, 3-0, on September 22. Spartan Summer Avery led all hitters with 10 kills.
