Former San José State University women's golfers Megan Osland and Regan De Guzman begin Stage II of the LPGA and Symetra Tour Qualifying School on Thursday, October 20, at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla.
Osland and De Guzman are two of 130 women competing to advance to the final stage of qualifying. The players will play four rounds of golf on October 20-23, two rounds each on the Bobcat and Panther Courses.
Osland begins her quest on Thursday at 12:54 p.m. EDT off of #1 on the Panther Course, while De Guzman is in the final group to begin off of #1 on the Panther Course at 1:27 p.m. EDT.
The top-80 players and ties advance to the final stage of qualifying, November 28-December 4, at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. Players that do not advance to the final stage will receive 2017 Symetra Tour status depending on their completion of the 72 holes.
Osland competed for San Jose State from 2011-15, while De Guzman just completed her eligibility in May of 2016. Both graduated from San José State with their degrees in the past year.
