SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State women's tennis returns to action, Friday, October 21, to take part in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships held at Stanford University.
"We are looking forward to the regionals at Stanford this weekend," said SJSU head coach, Chad Skorupka. "This is an opportunity for our players to step up and look for upset wins in singles and doubles."
Five Spartans will be competing throughout the weekend - Tamara Culibrk, Marine Dans, Sybille Gauvain, Miyo Kobayashi and Gaelle Rey.
The singles bracket will consist of a best of 128 format. Doubles play features a best of 64.
Other schools besides SJSU competing in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships are California, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Seattle, Stanford, UC Davis, Washington and Washington State.
