Oct. 24, 2016 Colorado Springs, Colo. --- After leading the San José State women's soccer team to a pair of wins, sophomore forward Darriell Franklin is the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week.Franklin scored a goal in both victories against Air Force and Colorado College. She also assisted Carley McBeath's game-winning goal in the 73rd minute on the road against the Falcons.The native of La Habra, Calif., set the tone for the Spartans' offense in both matches by scoring a goal within the first 15 minutes. San José State has produced three or more goals in four consecutive matches and currently leads the Mountain West in every offensive category except for total shots taken.Franklin and the Spartans have one game remaining on the road at Fresno State where it is a possibility to win the Mountain West regular season title and clinch the top seed for the championship tournament.The Spartans and Bulldogs play live on the Mountain West Network on Thursday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. (PT).
