Volleyball Loses At MW Co-Leader Boise State

Boise, Idaho- The San José State volleyball team fell at Mountain West co-leader Boise State, 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-14), Saturday afternoon at Bronco Gym.

The Spartans were held to a season-low 28 kills in the loss and recorded only three team blocks. The team hit just .149 for the match and had just one service ace.

Nandyala Gama led the Spartans with seven kills and hit a team-best .583 (7-0-12). Gama and Latahevai Lousi each recorded two blocks to lead the team. Jamie Hirai led the team with nine digs, while Breann Robinson had 18 assists, one ace and one dig.

Each of the three sets started the same for the Spartans. The team held a lead and stay close with the Broncos. However, Boise State would then use to run to take a lead and hold on for the win in each set.

San José State is now 12-16 overall and 5-11 in the MW. The Spartans play just one match next week, at Utah State next Saturday, November 19, at 1 p.m. Mountain/12 p.m. Pacific.
