LOS ANGELES, Calif. - A day after keeping #1-UCLA within their sights going into halftime, San José State men's water polo came out flat against the second-ranked team in the nation and fell to #2-USC, 19-1.
USC's Matteo Morelli scored 43 seconds into the game and the Trojans (19-1) kept the lead for the rest of the day.
The Spartans' (7-18) first and only goal of the game came courtesy of a Marc Weber power-play goal with 47 seconds left in the first quarter.
The Spartans take on Golden Coast Conference foe, #4-Pacific, in Stockton, Calif. this Friday, November 11 in their last regular season match.
