Men's Hoops Sails To 109-70 Win Over Life Pacific

San Jose, Calif.----- Forward Brandon Clarke scored 16 of his game-high 18 points in the first half as San Jose State defeated Life Pacific, 109-70, in a non-conference men's basketball game.

The Spartans (5-4) led the entire game for their fourth win in their last five outings. For the second time this season, San Jose State defeated a team, 109-70. The Spartans defeated West Coast Baptist by the same score on November 12 to begin the season.

Six San Jose State players scored in double figures. Forward Cody Schwartz came off the bench to score a season-high 17 points, 15 of them in the second half on five 3-point baskets. Forward Ryan Welage with 14; Jaycee Hillsman and Gary Williams, Jr., each with 11; and guard Terrell Brown with 10 also scored in double figures for the Spartans.

San Jose State, which led by as many as 46 points with 3:07 remaining, had a season-high 30 assists and just 11 turnovers. The Spartans also outrebounded the Warriors, 48-18.

Guard Mark Eden and forward Ramez Michail led Life Pacific (5-5) in scoring with 15 each.

San Jose State returns to action after fall semester final exams to face Bowling Green in a December 18, 2:00 p.m. non-conference home game at The Event Center.
