Norfolk, Va.----- For the eighth consecutive semester, San Jose State University's women's swimming and diving team was honored for team academic excellence by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA).
With its 2016 fall semester team grade-point average of 3.40, San Jose State is one of 165 NCAA Division I women's programs to be honored as a Scholar All-America team. The average team grade-point average for the honor was 3.336.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, a program must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the most recent semester.
San Jose State was one of eight Mountain West schools that sponsor women's swimming to earn the award.
The Spartans (4-2) conclude their dual meet schedule with Senior Day, Saturday, January 28, at Fresno State. First event begins at Noon (PT). Seniors Lisa Ellis, Allyson Fellows, Jenner Johnson and Taylor Solorio being honored.
