Only one team moved in the standings on Sunday, as the top-five teams remained the same. The Spartans shot a 300 en route to a 594 and fourth-place finish. Host Stanford won the tournament by 10 shots over Oregon. The Ducks were six shots better that Colorado, and the Buffaloes were seven shots better than the Spartans. SJSU made just seven birdies during the final round.
"It was a bit of struggle today for us," said Spartan head coach John Dormann. "We were just missing a lot of the fairways and ending up the rough which made scoring difficult. Hopefully, we got the rust off at this weekend and are getting better for our next tournament."
The Spartans next compete at The Gold Rush February 27 and 28, hosted by Long Beach State at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif.
