San Jose, Calif. - Coming off an 77-68 overtime victory against Fresno State on Wednesday evening in The Event Center, the San José State women's basketball team heads out on the road to face the Air Force Falcons on Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colorado. With a win, the Spartans will have taken three straight road games and Head Coach Jamie Craighead will notch her 100th victory.

CRAIGHEAD ONE WIN FROM 100
With her next victory, head coach Jamie Craighead will reach the 100-win career plateau. It will be her 49th win at SJSU tying her with Karen Smith (1993-99) for third place on the program all-time wins list. The late Janice Richard (1999-2006) ranks second with 93 wins and Sharon Chatman (1977-86), with 143 victories, is the all-time leader in victories and is the only coach in SJSU women's basketball with a winning record (143-121/.542).
ALUMNI GAME FEBRUARY 25 VS. BOISE STATE
The Spartans will welcome their alumni back to The Event Center on Saturday, February 25 to honor Lora Alexander, who was inducted into the San José State Athletics Hall of Fame earlier this year. All former women's basketball players in attendance will be recognized and honored at halftime and will be included in a day of activities.
STARTER SHAKE UP
Through 24 games, San José State had used exactly one starting lineup and those five are also the five leading scorers on the team. The five were Myzhanique Ladd (Jr., G, Seattle, Wash.), Paris Baird (Sr., F, Van Nuys, Calif.), Jasmine Smith (Sr., F, Burbank, Calif.), Rachol West (Sr., G, Bakersfield, Calif.) & Dezz Ramos (Sr., PG, West Valley, Utah). In a survey of Division I programs, only Syracuse and Saint Louis University responded as having the same starting line up all year and having those five players as the five top-scorers on the team.
Against Fresno State (2/15), a game the team won in overtime 77-68, Andrea Kohlhaas (So., G, Besigheim, Germany) made the first start of her collegiate career replacing Rachol West (Sr., G, Bakersfield, Calif.).
RAMOS QUICKEST TO 1,000 POINTS IN SJSU HISTORY
SeniorDezz Ramos (Sr., PG, West Valley, Utah), with 14 points against New Mexico (2/4), became the 16th player in program history to score 1,000 points in her Spartans' career. Ramos reached the milestone in 51 games, four games quicker than Lora Alexander who accomplished the feat in her 55th game. Ramos and Alexander are the only two Spartans to score at least 1,000-career points in their first two seasons in a Spartans jersey. Alexander, an SJSU Hall of Fame honoree, scored 1,019 points in 56 career games. Ramos currently has 1,079 points and at least six games left in her SJSU career. At her current scoring pace (22.1 ppg) she could slip into the program's top-10 in career scoring.
CLIMBING THE SINGLE SEASON LISTS
Myzhanique Ladd (Jr., G, Seattle, Wash.) has hit 59 of her 69 free throw attempts (85.5 percent) this year. That percentage is the fifth best on the program's single-season list.
Jasmine Smith (Sr., F, Burbank, Calif.) has scored on 130 of her 239 field goal attempts (54.4 percent) which is the 35th highest in the nation and currently ranks third on the program's single-season list.
Dezz Ramos (Sr., PG, West Valley, Utah) has scored 553 points this season which ranks T-5th on the program's single-season list. The record is 603 points by Brittany Johnson in the 2011-12 season. At Ramos' current scoring pace (22.1 ppg overall & 24.9 ppg in MW) and with a minimum of six more games this season, she could shatter the record. Ramos is also knocking down free throws at a high rate. She has converted 119 of 136 attempts (87.5 percent) which puts her in third place on the program's single-season list.
RAMOS AMONG THE SCORING ELITE AT SJSU, IN THE MW AND THE NATION
With six 30+ performances this year and seven in her Spartans' career, Dezz Ramos (Sr., PG, West Valley, Utah) ranks second on the MW list of single-season 30+ point games and first on the SJSU single-season and career lists. Through 13 MW games her 24.9 ppg is more than seven points higher than New Mexico's Cherise Beynon (17.4 ppg) who is in second place. Nationally, she ranks eighth in total points (553) as well as in points per game (22.1).
DEZZ IN THE SPARTANS CAREER LIST...AND THIS IS IN LESS THAN TWO YEARS
After competing in her 50th game as a Spartans in the team's 76-65 victory at UNLV, Dezz Ramos (Sr., PG, West Valley, Utah) reached the minimum requirement for the program's career lists. She now ranked first in scoring average (20.0/g), 14th in points (1,079), 16th in field goals (370), 14th in field goal attempts (949), 8th in 3-point field goals (116), 10th in 3-point field goal attempts (347), 6th 3-point percentage (.334), 12th in free throws (223), 20th in free throw attempts (260), 2nd in free throw percentage (.858), and 13th in assists (248).
