San Jose, Calif.-San José State women's gymnast Taylor Chan has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Gymnast Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season and the third consecutive week.
Chan tied for first on the floor with a career-best 9.875 at the UC Davis quadrangular meet. She won her third consecutive floor title and fourth this season. Chan leads the MPSF on the floor with a 9.855 regional qualifying score. She added a 9.700 on beam and a 9.750 on vault to tie for fifth.
San José State returns to The Event Center this Sunday for a meet with Utah State beginning at 2 p.m.
