Game Notes - New Mexico

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The San José State University baseball team returns to Mountain West conference action when they take on the University of New Mexico Lobos for a weekend series. Last weekend, SJSU opened up Mountain West conference play with a series win (vs UNLV) for the first time since joining the conference for the 2014 baseball season. SJSU has won six games this season, the fastest its reached that mark since the 2011 season when they won their first six games.

The matchup features the Mountain West conference's top pitching team, SJSU, with a 3.36 ERA versus the top hitting team in New Mexico which is batting .335.
