The 2017 San Jose State University football team will have six appearances on the Mountain West's 44-game national television package carried by the CBS Sports Network and the ESPN Networks.
The Spartans will be on the CBS Sports Network twice beginning with the August 26 season opener against USF (South Florida) in CEFCU Stadium at 4:30 p.m. (PT). The Spartans' November 18 game at Colorado State also will be a CBS Sports Network telecast.
The ESPN Networks consisting of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN3 and ABC have four San Jose State games beginning with the September 30 conference road game at UNLV. The ESPN Networks also have the November 4 home game vs. San Diego State, the November 11 road contest at Nevada and the November 25 regular season finale versus Wyoming in CEFCU Stadium.
The four assigned ESPN Networks games mark the first time since 2013 that San Jose State has as many as four contests on the network. The specific outlet for these games and kickoff times will be determined at a later date. It is possible a kickoff time could be announced 12 days before a contest.
The Mountain West also has broadcasting agreements with ROOT Sports, the Mountain West Network on Campus Insiders and OC Sports of Hawaii. Games with these conference television partners and additional coverage by CBS Sports Network and ESPN will be announced at a later date.
Telecasts of the non-conference road games at Texas on September 9, Utah on September 16 and BYU on October 28 are managed either by the home team or its conference office.
Season tickets for San Jose State's six home football games are available at www.sjsuspartans.com. The deadline for season ticket holders to take advantage of the "early-bird" renewal discount is Saturday, April 15.
