Final Results-The Goodwin

Stanford, Calif.--- The San José State University men's golf team rose one spot on the leaderboard to 23rd place at The Goodwin shooting 292 in round three. After a dismal start to the tournament at Stanford Golf Course the Spartans improved each day, 317-295-292. They finished with a total score of 904.

Sean Talmadge led the Spartans and finished with the best Spartan score for the first time in his career. In round three Talmadge shot one-under par 69. He was the only Spartan to play a round under par. He tied for 46th place and shot a total score of 10-over par 220.

William Barnett shot 18-over par 228 and tied for 93rd.

Kevin Velo and Scott Munger tied for 100th place at 19-over par 229.

Charles Thompson finished in 122nd place at 238.

Stanford won The Goodwin by nine strokes over Southern California after shooting seven-under par in round three. The Cardinals had a total three-day score of three-under par 837.

Rhett Rasmussen finished on top of the player's leaderboard with a score of four-under par 206. He won by one stroke over Stanford's Franklin Huang, and UNLV's Harry Hall.
