Round one Results

Tucson, Ariz. --- The San José State University men's golf team finished in 11th place with a score of 13 over-par 301 in round one of the Mountain West Championship at OMNI Tucson National Resort. The tournament is being played on the par 72, 7,194-yard Catalina Course.

In round one, no Spartan finished under par.

Kevin Velo tied for 26th and had the best Spartan round on the day shooting one-over par. In his round, Velo birdied three of the four par-five holes.

Scott Munger tied for 39th at three-over par 75. Sean Talmadge is tied for 41st with a four-over par 76.

Matthew Ashley is five-over par at 47th place. Henrik Sohlberg is tied at 54th at eight-over par 80.

Boise State and San Diego State are currently tied in first place at nine-under par 279.

UNLV's John Oda is on top of the player's leaderboard at six-under par 66.
