COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- San José State senior My Leander has been named the Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week for tournaments played from March 27 - April 2. This is Leander's fourth career MW golfer of the month/week accolade.
HIGHLIGHTS
- • Competing in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Kapalua, Hawaii from March 27-29, finished in third-place in the 90-player field.
- • On the par 72, 6,012-yard Bay Course, carded a four-under 212, and was one of five golfers to finish under par.
- • Began the event with an even par 72 before shooting back-to-back rounds of two-under par.
- • Tied for the most pars made during the tournament, registering 40 over the three rounds. Also recorded nine birdies.
- • Led the Spartans to a third-place finish with a score of 877, finishing behind No. 7 UCLA and No. 4 Arizona State. SJSU finished seven strokes ahead of nationally-ranked Colorado and 10 shots better than No. 1 Stanford.
