April 6, 2017 Senior women's tennis player Marie Klocker and sophomore shortstop Aaron Pleschner are the March Spartan Foundation Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by O'Connor Hospital.Klocker became San José State's career leader for combined singles and doubles tennis victories with her singles win in the match against the Academy of Art on March 31. Career-win number 133 capped a perfect 5-0 month for the senior from Mulhouse, France, who plays at the No. 2 singles position and on the No. 1 doubles team for the Spartans. Klocker didn't lose one set all month long and helped the Spartans to a 5-1 record during March including a conference win over UNLV.Pleschner led the Spartans with a .371 batting average during March when he hit safely in 14 out of 18 games. The starting shortstop mixed in nine multi-hit games during the month helping the Spartans win a pair of Mountain West series from UNLV and Nevada.
