Lake Geneva, Wis.—Five former San José State women's golfers participated in the Red Nose Day Walgreens Charity Championship presented by Hallmark this past weekend at the Geneva National Resort. The tournament was part of The Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the LPGA.
Juli Inkster was the top-finisher of the group of five as she shot a three-under 69 to finish second. She made a five-foot birdie on the final hole to finish one shot behind winner Liselotte Neumann.
Current associate head coach Dana Dormann shot a one-over 73 to finish tied for 11th. Tracy Hanson shot a four-over 76 to tie for 26th, while Pat Hurst tied for 38th at six-over 78. Patty Sheehan was 49th at 12-over 84.
The tournament was reduced to just one round after torrential rain on Saturday rendered the course unplayable. The Legends Tour showcases the talent of some of the greatest women's golfers of all time. The next tournament will be the Senior LPGA Championship, July 9-12, on the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Ind.
