The San Jose State University-Fresno State football battle on Saturday, October 7 for the Valley Trophy will be broadcast live by ESPN3 in a 4:30 p.m. (PT) game at CEFCU Stadium.
The Spartans won last year's Valley Trophy, 16-13, in the one of the team's best defensive effort of the season. Fresno State gained just 32 of its 245 yards of total offense in the second half as San Jose State overcame a 14-7 halftime deficit.
The appearance on ESPN3 is the third of six games this season on the ESPN family of networks. San Jose State returns to the ESPN family of networks for the 2017 season starting with the September 23 game at preseason #23-Utah on ESPN2. Kickoff time is 8:00 p.m. (MT).
The Spartans also have games on the ESPN family of networks for home games on November 4 and November 25 hosting San Diego State and Wyoming, respectively and November 11 at Nevada. The game times for those three Mountain West contests remains as to be announced.
The San Jose State-Fresno State game also is Homecoming weekend for Spartan friends and alumni.
