El Paso, Texas--- The San José State University men's golf team is in 10th place at Price's Give Em Five Invitational. In the second round of the tournament the Spartans shot 18-over par 302. They have a total two-day score of 22-over par 590 on the par 71, 7,267-yard Butterfield Trail Golf Course.
Kevin Velo and Bryce Wortman are both tied in 34th place at five-over par 147. In round two Velo shot even-par which ties the eighth best score in round two. Wortman shot four over par in round two of the tournament.
Sean Yu and Sean Talmadge are tied for 46th at seven-over par 149. Vijay Srinivasan is tied at 72nd at 12-over par.
Matthew Murray and Ben Campbell are both playing as individuals in the tournament, and not contributing toward the team score. Murray is tied for 55th at nine-over par. Campbell is 13-over par, and tied for 78th.
Texas El Paso currently has a six-stroke lead over second place Texas State heading into the final round. Texas State's, Calvin Ross, was able to maintain his lead on top of the player's leaderboard with a two-stroke lead over second place Charles Corner of UTEP.
