Colorado Springs, Colo.--San José State volleyball players Nandyala Gama and Breann Robinson have been selected to the 2017 All-Mountain West Conference volleyball team, as selected by the conference's head volleyball coaches.
Gama, a senior middle blocker, received her second MW honor in as many years as she was an honorable mention selection in 2016. She led the Spartans in kills in MW matches with 209, 3.37 per set, and in all matches with 357, 3.43 ps. During conference play, she recorded 58 blocks, 0.94 ps, in 62 sets played. Gama finishes her career with 1,114 kills, good for 11th on the San José State career list. She finished fifth in career block assists with 325 and fourth in total blocks with 366.

Robinson, a senior setter, averaged 10.57 assists per set as she recorded 729 in 69 MW sets played. She also led the team in blocking during the MW season with 61, 0.88 ps. For the year, Robinson had with 1,105 assists and 84 blocks. Earlier this season, she became the 11th player in school history to record 2,000 career assists. Robinson finishes her career fifth on the San José State career assists list with 2,565 assists.

Robinson is the fourth San José State player to receive All-MW honors, following Gama (2016 & 2017), Tyanna Roy (honorable mention, 2015) and Hanah Blume (All-MW, 2013).
San José State finished the 2017 season with a 17-12 overall record and 9-9 MW record. The team had its best conference finish, fifth place, since joining the MW in 2013. This year also marked the program's first winning season since 2006 and the most overall wins since 2012 (14).
