Tennis Doubles Teams Come Through On 1st Day Of Bronco Invitational

Santa Clara, Calif.----- San Jose State University had a perfect day in doubles going 4-0 to highlight the Spartans' first day of action at the Bronco Invitational women's tennis tournament.

The teams of Sybille Gauvain and Miyo Kobayashi and Clara Mantaux and Savannah Sendar each won their match over a Stanford duo. Jackie Wagner and Laura Malsert topped a team from Santa Clara.

Julie Vereecke got her name in the win column teaming with Stanford's Taylor Lailas for a win over Santa Clara pair Caitlyn Frankel and Nadine DelCarmen.

The three-day tournament using a round-robin format and no team scoring continues Saturday, November 4 weather-permitting. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Stanford and Santa Clara
