San Jose, Calif. - Boise State shot 58.6 percent from the floor, including 63.6 percent from three-point range, on its way to a 112-80 victory over the San Jose State women's basketball team on Wednesday night in the Event Center.

The game turned in the final six minutes of the first period when Boise State turned an 11-8 deficit into a 35-18 lead and never looked back on its way to a 32-point win.

SJSU freshman Megan Anderson knocked down 5-of-9 shots from beyond the arc on her way to a career-high 15 points. Myzhanique Ladd bounced back from a tough night at Nevada where she only scored five points, to contribute 15 against the Broncos. Analyss Benally scored 11 and Taylor Turney led the Spartans with 16 points.

Anderson got things going for San José State (6-13, 3-5 MW) with her first three of the night 2:30 into the game. It broke a 6-6 tie and less than a minute later a Ladd layup would make it 11-8, but from there Boise State caught fire.

The Broncos (12-8, 6-3 MW) made their next four shots in a row and 12 of their final 16 in the quarter to out scored SJSU 27-7 over the final six minutes of the period. The run included three of Boise State's 14 treys in the game; the most SJSU has surrendered all season.

In total the Broncos had six players in double figures with Shalen Shaw and Marta Hermida picking up double doubles. Shaw finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Hermida had 16 points, dished out 14 assists and with eight rebounds, was two boards from a triple double.

Boise State continued its hot shooting in the second quarter and took a 64-35 lead into intermission. The Broncos hit 10-of-15 in the period including 5-of-7 from long range and by halftime had outrebounded SJSU 29-to-8. They used an 11-to-3 advantage on the offensive glass to outscore the Spartans 18-0 on second-chance points in the first 20 minutes.

SJSU shot 47 percent (8-of-17) in the third quarter and made 4-of-7 three pointers (57.1 percent), but Boise State was even better. They hit 10-of-18 (55.6 percent), 4-of-6 (66.7 percent) from distance, and led 94-59 after three periods.

In the fourth quarter it was more of the same. SJSU shot well, 50 percent on 7-of-14 shooting, but the Broncos made 7-of-13 for 53.8 percent and took the 112-80 win.

Danae Marquez led the team with five assists, three steals and added six points. Alexis Harris led the team with five rebounds, had a block and scored two points.
